"Save the date" winked at me from the subject line of an email. Within minutes of opening the message announcing Ligad & Boaz's wedding I knew I had to make this happen.

After an 11-month stay in the small and wonderful country of Costa Rica, I arrived in Nepal at the end of August 2007. It was quite a depressing situation due to political chaos and the upcoming election on the constituent assembly in Nepal, which is scheduled for Nov. 6, 2007.

When theory meets practice, human rights and international law as taught in the classroom acquires flavor. This has been Dan Juma’s realization for the past one and half years. Dan, Class of 2006 (International Law and Human Rights) has over the last seven months been the interim Deputy Executive Director of the Kenya Human Rights Commission, in Nairobi, Kenya.

Jessica Morey spent all of 2005 on the UPEACE campus as a student in the Natural Resources and Sustainable Development program. She excelled academically, but her fun-loving spirit and countless talents (such as her amazing yoga skills) led her to enrich the UPEACE community in many other ways as well. She currently resides in Washington, DC, where she works for the World Bank.
